Christmas Light Installation in Winchendon, MA

For this commercial property, we created a coordinated white-and-blue lighting plan across the roofline and surrounding landscape. The building was outlined with alternating cool-white and blue lights, following the front gable, side eaves, and covered side canopy. This consistent pattern makes the low-profile architecture easy to read from several parking-lot approaches. A large deciduous tree on the lawn became the primary landscape feature, with the trunk, main branches, and broad canopy densely wrapped in matching blue and white LED C3 string lights. The roofline provides a clean architectural border, while the illuminated tree adds height and visibility across the property. Together, the two treatments establish one unified color system without covering the building’s original exterior details.

This is a long, single-story building with a cupola, an entrance gable at the front, a second gable over the service door at the far end, and a covered drive-through canopy on its own columns. Every elevation faces parking, so the lighting had to read from several directions at once. The landscape tree on the lawn is tall and wide, and its upper limbs were reached from a lift.

We used one pattern everywhere: blue and white bulbs alternating along every edge we lit. On the building that meant the entrance gable, both long eaves, the far gable and the canopy roof, so the outline stays continuous around each corner. The cupola, siding and wall sconces were left as they are.

On the tree we wrapped the trunk tightly from the ground up, then ran the lights in long horizontal tiers along the main limbs, so the canopy keeps its wide, windswept shape instead of turning into a solid block of light.

At dusk the blue and white line holds its color against the evening sky, and after dark the building reads as one clean shape from the road and from the parking lot. The tree stands apart on the lawn and adds a second, taller point of light that can be seen along the street.
