Frequently Asked Questions
Residential Christmas light installation in Massachusetts typically ranges from $599 to $2,800 depending on home size, roofline length, and design complexity. Small single-story homes start around $599. Two-story homes with full roofline, windows, and landscape lighting average $1,400–$2,200. Large estate homes with multiple architectural features and specimen tree wrapping range from $3,000 to $8,000+. Every quote is itemized and includes materials, installation, season-long maintenance, and January takedown.
Most packages require a 25% booking deposit to secure your installation date. The deposit is fully refundable until 14 days before your scheduled install. Final balance is due on installation day. We accept credit card, ACH, and business check for commercial accounts.
No. Every quote we issue is a fixed-price quote that includes materials, labor, season-long maintenance visits, takedown, and basic storage. The only add-ons that are optional and clearly marked are extended storage (if you sell your home mid-season), custom color programming for permanent systems, and emergency weekend-response maintenance. There are no fuel surcharges, no lift-truck fees, and no 'design consultation' fees.
We recommend booking in August or September for the best availability. Our installation season in Massachusetts runs from early October through mid-December. Popular Thanksgiving-ready slots in Middlesex, Norfolk, Essex, and Barnstable counties fill by early October. If you book after Halloween, we guarantee a pre-Christmas install but can't always hit your preferred calendar date.
Yes. We continue installing through mid-December, subject to crew availability. Last-minute bookings in December typically install within 5–10 days of deposit. We prioritize commercial clients with events and residential clients with scheduled holiday gatherings.
We serve Greater Boston, MetroWest, North Shore, South Shore, Cape Cod, and Martha's Vineyard with dedicated crews based in Woburn, Boston, and Plymouth. Our most-booked service areas include Middlesex, Norfolk, Essex, Plymouth, Barnstable, and Worcester counties. Suffolk County (Boston, Cambridge area) is handled by our Greater Boston commercial crew. Just mention your town when you call — if we don't have direct coverage, we can still help.
Yes. Newton, Brookline, Needham, Wellesley, Weston, Lexington, Winchester, Belmont, Arlington, Watertown, and all the inner-Boston suburbs are covered by our Greater Boston residential crew. We understand MBTA community parking rules, historic district guidelines, and tight suburban access.
Absolutely — Boston proper and Cambridge are handled by our Greater Boston commercial crew. We cover Back Bay brownstones, Beacon Hill row houses, Cambridge multi-families, Harvard Square storefronts, Seaport retail, and commercial campuses. Historic district rules, permits, and tight-access parking are all handled by our urban installation team.
Yes. Marblehead, Gloucester, Rockport, Manchester-by-the-Sea, Beverly, Salem, Swampscott, Nahant, Ipswich, and the Cape Ann coast are all covered by our North Shore crew. Coastal properties receive IP65-sealed commercial strands to handle salt-air corrosion year after year.
Yes. Our South Shore crew is based out of Plymouth and covers Cohasset, Hingham, Scituate, Duxbury, Marshfield, Norwell, Pembroke, Kingston, and all the way down through Plymouth to the Sagamore Bridge. We regularly install in South Shore estate neighborhoods and coastal properties.
Yes. Cape Cod is one of our strongest service regions — we cover Barnstable, Sandwich, Falmouth, Mashpee, Yarmouth, Dennis, Brewster, Chatham, Orleans, Eastham, Wellfleet, Truro, and Provincetown. Marine-grade IP65 strands and salt-corrosion-rated clips are standard on every Cape install.
Yes. MetroWest is one of our highest-volume zones. Natick, Wellesley, Weston, Dover, Sherborn, Sudbury, Wayland, Lincoln, Concord, Carlisle, Acton, Maynard, Hudson, Stow, and Southborough are all covered. Our MetroWest crew handles these routes with same-week response during the season.
Yes, Martha's Vineyard is a specialty service zone for us. We cover Edgartown, Oak Bluffs, Vineyard Haven (Tisbury), West Tisbury, Chilmark, and Aquinnah. Ferry-logistics-aware scheduling means we batch Island jobs into dedicated crew trips and install during a compressed November window.
We provide all commercial-grade LED lights, clips, timers, extension cords, and mounting hardware as part of every package. Everything is included — you never purchase lights separately. If you have existing decorations you love (a specific wreath, garland, or heirloom ornament), we can incorporate them at no additional cost.
A standard residential Christmas light package includes on-site design consultation, all commercial-grade C9 or M5 LED lights, weather-rated extension cords, timers, professional installation by insured crews, unlimited maintenance visits during the season, scheduled January takedown, and optional free storage until next season.
Yes. We install permanent holiday lighting systems (Trimlight, Gemstone, Jellyfish, Oelo, and similar) that stay mounted on your roofline year-round. The aluminum channel is low-profile and nearly invisible during the day. A smartphone app lets you switch between millions of colors and patterns for Christmas, the Fourth of July, Halloween, sports teams, and everyday accent lighting. Learn more on our permanent lights service page.
Permanent holiday light installation in Massachusetts ranges from $4,500 to $12,000+ depending on roofline length, chosen system (Trimlight, Gemstone, Jellyfish, Oelo), and architectural complexity. Most homes average $6,500–$8,500. The system pays for itself within 2–3 seasons compared to annual seasonal install/takedown. Systems carry 3–7 year manufacturer warranties.
Yes. Outdoor tree decoration is one of our most-requested services — we wrap trunks, fill full canopies, install uplighting and starburst displays, and handle everything from 6-foot ornamental trees to 80-foot estate specimens. See our Christmas tree lighting page for pricing by tree size and styles (wrapped, canopy, uplighting, starburst, icicle, net).
Yes. Removal is included in every package and runs January 2 through January 31 on your scheduled date. Lights are labeled by home section, transported to our climate-controlled facility, and stored free for renewing clients. Standalone removal-only service for displays installed by other companies is available for a flat fee based on roofline length.
Your lights travel to our Massachusetts storage facility where they're inspected, coiled, labeled with your address, and stored in climate-controlled crates. When October rolls around, the same lights that fit your home last year reinstall on the same runs — no re-measuring, no re-purchasing, no surprises on install day.
Yes. We carry $2,000,000 general liability insurance, full workers' compensation coverage, and commercial auto insurance on every vehicle. Certificate of insurance (COI) is available upon request for commercial clients, HOAs, and property managers who require it before installation. All Massachusetts municipal and permit requirements are handled by our office.
No. We use professional plastic clips designed to attach to shingles and gutters without nails, screws, staples, or adhesives. Nothing punctures your roof. At takedown every clip comes off cleanly. We carry a written no-damage guarantee — the rare time a clip fails, we repair at our cost.
Yes. We're familiar with the HOA and historic district guidelines across Massachusetts — from 55+ communities like The Residences at Kingsbury Club and Del Webb at Chauncy Lake, to historic districts in Lexington, Concord, Marblehead, and Newburyport. We ensure our design complies with height restrictions, color palettes, and installation windows. For commercial and HOA common areas, we handle the approval paperwork directly with the management company.
Call or text us. Every package includes unlimited maintenance visits — storm repairs, bulb replacements, timer issues, and strand-out troubleshooting are all covered at no extra charge. Our response time during peak season is typically 24–48 hours. If there's a major regional storm, we prioritize based on visibility impact (front-of-home displays first).
