Warm White Roofline Lighting in Foxborough
The project
For this residential project in Foxborough, Massachusetts, we created a warm white display that follows the home’s long, low architectural profile. C9 bulbs outline the main roofline, front-facing gables, porch eaves, and attached garage, giving each section clear definition after dark. The consistent spacing across the roof keeps the design balanced from one end of the property to the other. Snow on the lawn and roof adds natural contrast, while the lighting remains focused on the home’s strongest architectural lines.
The challenge
The home is long and low, with a covered front porch running most of its width, a center gable above the porch, and an attached two-car garage with its own gable. Six porch columns stand between the porch roof and the deck, and the install was photographed with snow across the lawn and the beds.
How we lit it
We treated the roof and the porch as one composition. C9 bulbs in warm white run along the upper roof edges, the center gable, the porch eave and the garage gable, with the same spacing throughout. The shrubs, lawn and walkway were left unlit.
The result
Against the snow, the warm white outline gives the long porch a finished look from the driveway, and the garage reads as part of the same house rather than a separate building.
